Sandy Muller

Sandy MullerSandra (Sandy) Muller has been a Black Jack resident since 1972. She lives in Sherwood Creek Subdivision where she has served as a Trustee for 10 years. Her two adult children attended Jury Elementary and graduated from Hazelwood Central High School. During these school years, Sandy was active in PTAs, PACs, Scout Troops, and parent volunteer projects. She enjoys sharing the many assets of the City of Black Jack with her four grandchildren and proudly calls the City of Black Jack home.

Professionally, Sandy is a lead tax preparer for Liberty Tax Service and campaign representative for United Way. She spent 23 years in the financial industry, most recently as vice president with Bank of America as a change management / performance consultant for Business and Private Lending. Her career included loan underwriting, business development, and retail branch management / operation responsibilities. Sandy currently enjoys her newest role as an usher for the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium.

Sandy served on Black Jack’s Planning and Zoning Commission for over eight years before her election to the City Council. She has previously served on the Special Events Committee and various volunteer projects for the city. Her council responsibilities include:

  • Alternate Council Liaison to the Emergency Management Committee
  • Capital Improvement Planning Committee
  • Member of Florissant Valley Chamber of Commerce
  • Member of North County, Inc.
  • Member of St. Louis County Municipal League
  • Member of Missouri Municipal League

In addition to commitment to her family, the City of Black Jack, North County, and the St. Louis community, Sandy is actively involved in the United Church of Christ. She was elected a general synod delegate to the national Church for two Synods, is currently a director of the Missouri Mid-South Conference, chairperson for the Outreach Committee of the St. Louis Association, and treasurer of her local Church.

Sandy strongly believes that residents should be actively involved in their community. "Everything accomplished in Black Jack’s brief history did not just happen. Enormous amounts of planning, creative thinking, and proactive initiatives from committed individuals created what our Black Jack residents enjoy." Today, Black Jack is truly "building for the future".
