REVISED - Assistant Director of Public Works

Full-time w/benefits

Exempt

$18.00-$22.00 per hour

This position performs a variety of duties in assisting the Director of Public Works in the operation of the Public Works Department. This position is a working Supervisor who performs both assigned and independent duties. Responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Department. The position requires coordination, supervision and implementation of a variety of Public Works projects. These include but are not limited to day-to-day maintenance of the City’s infrastructure and facilities, street and park maintenance and emergency response for snow, ice, flood and severe weather. Serves as the City’s liaison. Excellent communication skills and writing skills are a necessity.

Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business Administration or related field, with a minimum of two years of Supervisory experience in Public Works.

Seasonal Worker - Part-time

The City of Black Jack is accepting applications for PT Seasonal Worker in the Public Works Department. Approximate assignment duration is May-September.  Job duties include: maintenance of public grounds including park facilities, litter control including picking up waste disposal barrels and dumping them into the dumpsters, cleaning park shelters, picnic tables, grills, sand areas, and playgrounds, clean and restock supplies in restrooms and other duties as assigned.  DOQ.
