The City of Black Jack is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker whose responsibilities will include maintaining city streets and city owned buildings, infrastructure and parks. Skills should include operating commercial vehicles, power tools, lawn equipment and snow removal equipment operation of heavy machinery and equipment. Will also perform vehicle safety inspections, minor repairs, routine maintenance of city vehicles and street and sidewalk repair.
Candidate must have a general knowledge in electrical repair, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, landscaping, welding and masonry. Seasonal duties include but are not limited to, mosquito fogging, snow removal, park maintenance, lawn care and landscaping. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Extensive carpentry, electrical and plumbing skills are a plus.
A minimum of one-year prior experience, US Citizen or legally authorized alien worker, CDL license and High School diploma or GED are required.
