THE ST. LOUIS COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESENTS THE CITY OF BLACK JACK A PLAQUE HONORING THE 40 YEAR ANNIVERSARY AS A CONTRACT CITY FOR POLICE SERVICES WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY.
Chief Tim Fitch presented the City of Black Jack a special plaque commemorating the 40 year relationship that the City of Black Jack has shared with the St. Louis County Police Department for Police services.
Black Jack, MO, September 14, 2010: At the past City of Black Jack City Council meeting, Chief Tim Fitch presented a special plaque to the City for its 40 year relationship in providing police services for the City. The City of Black Jack was the first City to contract with the St. Louis County Police Services in 1970. Mayor Norm McCourt said “This is one of the best decisions we have made for our City and for our residents. The St. Louis County police provides first class service to our residents.”
Under the contract, the City has 1 Sergeant and 7 officers patrolling the City, with one officer dedicated to traffic and neighborhood policing.
