Albert Schroeder (Al) has been a Black Jack resident since 1959. He lives in the Rollinghills Subdivision. He and his wife Alice of 52 years have two adult children who attended Salem Lutheran School and graduated from Hazelwood Central High School. They are proud grandparents of three.

Al proudly served in the Korean war in 1950 and 1951. He has enjoyed a life of retirement for 14 years from Pevely Dairy.

He served on the first Black Jack City Council and has continued to proudly serve for over 30 years. He has also served on various other committees; ie Traffic Commission, Liquor License Committee, Solid Waste Committee.
